This belonged to my great uncle who used it when he was in the army as drummer boy (they had to double on fife) Lovely instrument appears to be in the key of B (Thats the note it plays when you finger D, ie 3 fingers of left hand and 3 fingers of right hand) - someone who knows fife please correct me if that is wrong.

There's a bit of a story to this one. Once upon a time I was a pro player relying on doubling for stuff like Radio Orchestra gigs and had a decent Yamaha piccolo for such use. Then one day this homeless looking person came up to me asking if I wanted to buy a recorder. No thanks I said, then, maybe let's have a look. It was this tatty looking piccolo. I gave it a quick blow and was immediately blown away. So I gave him quite a lot more money than he was hoping for, hoped he didn't overdose, checked with police and MU that nobody had reported it stolen and here we are today. Oh yes I had it overhauled back then by Bill Lewingtons who appraised it at 2k - 3k. Since then it's been used occasionally and finely fettled by @Stephen Howard ...

A vintage, Evette Schaeffer alto sax. FULL PHOTOS HERE: Evette Schaeffer Alto Sax In good cosmetic condition with a wonderful patina but needs some work to get playing. S/N 14252. It's complete and the mechanical parts are in good order but it will need a new neck cork, some pads replacing, adjustment & regulation. I can get some notes out of it but not all. Comes with original mouthpiece, lig, cap and in a Yamaha hard case. £75 buys it. NB. May be advertised and sold elsewhere without notice.

Yamaha YTS-275 Tenor Saxophone Nice Condition. This saxophone is in a generally excellent condition apart from extremely minor light scratches on left side which are too light to photograph and therefore unnoticeable, this the result of rubbing on my jacket whilst playing, and unfortunately inevitable. The saxophone comes complete with a superb white Syos Smoky 6 Mouthpiece which retails around £160 plus a new unused Canvas Gig Bag and a few extra mouthpieces etc. I am open to offers without the mouthpieces and extras Many pictures are available please ask. Vintage Selmer Super Session HR Alto Sax Mouthpiece E -- Excellent Condition The Alto and Tenor models of the excellent Super Sessions were discontinued by Selmer in 2012-13 as a ploy for the marketing of a newer model mouthpiece. NOS ones were available for awhile but now and are no longer available anywhere despite being a great mouthpiece for legit and jazz playing. This one in excellent condition with the table, tip, and rails all pristine. The only wear is one tiny tooth scratch on the beak and the change in the color of a small part of the shank due to the typical oxidation of Hard Rubber. This is a beautiful rich sounding mpc perfect for jazz and ballads. Comes with the original Selmer ligature and cap.

(played it for 4 weeks to try and decided I'd rather get better at producing a jazzy sound). Always used a mouthpiece cushion. Rails are sharp. No Dings / dents. Listed at 132 GBP new at sax.co.uk. For sale are: Vandoren V16 T6M medium chamber hard rubber tenor mouthpiece - 79 EUR Very good condition. There's a slight discoloration at the shank as well as on the gold ring. Vandoren V16 T5L large chamber metal tenor mouthpiece - 189 EUR Very good condition. There's some plating loss around the table edges. On the baffle, a machining mark can be seen, but not felt under the finger. The piece has had only a few hours of playtime. The buyer must collect as items are bulky. I live in Sudbury Suffolk Uk I am no longer able to play due to a fall tendon/nerve damage. Was hoping for good news on my last Hosp appointment but was not to be. The gorilla tape on the openings of the tenor sax mute are to make the elastic stiffer, not repeat not for damage. If you want a new/not used Legere 2.5 and cup of tea you get those free lol. Items pictures listed, ta for looking. Dale

Buescher True Tone Soprano Saxophone from 1928. Overhauled by Dawkes before I got it and in good playing condition with a sweet sound and excellent intonation. Beautiful feel to the action. Old relacaquer but nice dark honey colour. Very elegant instrument.
