This is an excellent playing Berg Stainless Scoop Bill Vintage Tenor mouthpiece, 100/2/Offset SMS with the straight drop baffle. It's in superb condition considering that it was made sometime in the 1970s as the side to side mill marks visible on the table indicate. The table is flat and unmarked except for some minor water corrosion that is purely cosmetic and does not effect it's performance. The tip and side rails are all perfect and the bite plate has no tooth marks because it has always been played with a patch. It comes with its original ligature and cap both also in pristine condition. I have looked on eBay, Reverb and many sax shops and most Bergs like this are going for well upwards of 300 dollars/euros. This is probably the best and most useful/versatile microphone in existence. Comes with full service history This has been kept in a smoke free professional environment and has complete service history by (A) Arbiter Group PLC (Feb 2000) and (B) Studiocare. The Studiocare service was carried out in June 2025 prior to selling and has not been used since testing. All documentation is supplied. Hi Guys, I am looking for the above mouthpiece to finish off my Grafton project. The mouthpiece required was sometimes supplied with the Grafton and has a white plastic fluted body with a slide on metal ligature with 2 knurled screws underneath also a slide on metal reed guard. Very similar to the Lawton style set up. Any leads would be really appreciated. TIA

Not often you see one of this in this condition. Many people would probably call this "almost mint", but you can see a few minor little things and as I'm scrupulously aware that the word mint means brand new, still in its wrapping, that many people throw that term around when they shouldn't. But this is in very good nick, and that makes it rare. The slightest ding in a brass horn can be invisibly repaired. The slightest ding in a Grafton alto means a big nasty crack. That's what makes this Grafton so rare - it has no actual damage beyond some teeny lacquer spots on some keys. [EDIT: old thread but just moved to Yardsale as I am selling all my stuff ready to downsize houses.] Reluctantly selling the Joe Walton adjustable mouthpiece. It has a lovely tone (almost as nice as a PPT. I don't get the different baffles to sound very different, I've kind of got used to getting a certain sound. I have made a short video to demonstrate how the same mouthpiece sounds with five different baffles. Yes, it's the famous (not really) Walton adjustable Mouthpiece system. Five baffles screw in (and out ). They range from low baffle to very high. This belonged to my great uncle who used it when he was in the army as drummer boy (they had to double on fife) Lovely instrument appears to be in the key of B (Thats the note it plays when you finger D, ie 3 fingers of left hand and 3 fingers of right hand) - someone who knows fife please correct me if that is wrong.

There's a bit of a story to this one. Once upon a time I was a pro player relying on doubling for stuff like Radio Orchestra gigs and had a decent Yamaha piccolo for such use. Then one day this homeless looking person came up to me asking if I wanted to buy a recorder. No thanks I said, then, maybe let's have a look. It was this tatty looking piccolo. I gave it a quick blow and was immediately blown away. So I gave him quite a lot more money than he was hoping for, hoped he didn't overdose, checked with police and MU that nobody had reported it stolen and here we are today. Oh yes I had it overhauled back then by Bill Lewingtons who appraised it at 2k - 3k. Since then it's been used occasionally and finely fettled by @Stephen Howard ...

Vintage Selmer Super Session HR Alto Sax Mouthpiece E -- Excellent Condition The Alto and Tenor models of the excellent Super Sessions were discontinued by Selmer in 2012-13 as a ploy for the marketing of a newer model mouthpiece. NOS ones were available for awhile but now and are no longer available anywhere despite being a great mouthpiece for legit and jazz playing. This one in excellent condition with the table, tip, and rails all pristine. The only wear is one tiny tooth scratch on the beak and the change in the color of a small part of the shank due to the typical oxidation of Hard Rubber. This is a beautiful rich sounding mpc perfect for jazz and ballads. Comes with the original Selmer ligature and cap.
