This belonged to my great uncle who used it when he was in the army as drummer boy (they had to double on fife)
Lovely instrument appears to be in the key of B (Thats the note it plays when you finger D, ie 3 fingers of left hand and 3 fingers of right hand) - someone who knows fife please correct me if that is wrong.

There's a bit of a story to this one.
Once upon a time I was a pro player relying on doubling for stuff like Radio Orchestra gigs and had a decent Yamaha piccolo for such use. Then one day this homeless looking person came up to me asking if I wanted to buy a recorder. No thanks I said, then, maybe let's have a look. It was this tatty looking piccolo. I gave it a quick blow and was immediately blown away. So I gave him quite a lot more money than he was hoping for, hoped he didn't overdose, checked with police and MU that nobody had reported it stolen and here we are today. Oh yes I had it overhauled back then by Bill Lewingtons who appraised it at 2k - 3k. Since then it's been used occasionally and finely fettled by @Stephen Howard ...

The gorilla tape on the openings of the tenor sax mute are to make the elastic stiffer, not repeat not for damage.
If you want a new/not used Legere 2.5 and cup of tea you get those free lol.

Fantastic piece of kit only used twice.. I bought the new sturdier clip although the original is great....
I don't gig enough to warrant keeping it and have the nux which is fine for me...

Excellent condition case for tenor sax. The best backpack experience from any case I've used. The case has proper backpack straps and waist strap, as well as a cooling mesh.
It's definitely a soft case, but it has stiff foam inside that offers decent protection from knocks.
The case originally came with a ridiculous red neck pouch that looked like a gnome's hat. I replaced that with a protec neck and mouthpiece pouch (included).
Sells for £155 new right now and as I said this is in excellent condition.

Holton Collegiate Model 503 Cornet

Manufactured in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, 1953
Vintage Holton Collegiate Model 503 Cornet in good playing condition with no dents or mechanical issues and only cosmetic wear. All the tubes are straight and true. It was serviced, adjusted and lubricated when I bought it. The fact is that I bought it on a whim thinking that I'd be able to learn to play it but I only worked at that sporadically before setting it aside because the embouchure was too difficult for me to make the transition to from sax. So I lubricated it and put it in its case and it's been there since then. I only took it out of the case just now to to photograph it to sell it.

1. Yanagisawa soprano sax mouthpiece size 7 - all fine apart from a tiny 'pit' to the inside just below the tip - see photos. Appears to make no difference to the sound, plays really well, but because of this cosmetic fault - £40. SOLD

Might anyone be interested in a Besson of London cornet? This one’s a bit battered (particularly the bell- see photos) but its recently had a full set up by the legend that is Rupert Noble and is in great playing condition. It comes with 3 different mouthpieces, four extension pipes for different playing positions, its original case (very stylish motorcycle pannier bag type affair but very battered and probably beyond general use), there’s also a robust ABS case (not as cool but more practical).

Seems fine to me but I'm a rank beginner at the flute. Zips on case currently all functional. Sale due to upgrade to Jupiter 511e (GAS GAS GAS...). UK mainland shipping is in the region of £3 to £11 depending on the level of insurance you want.

Rovner Dark 3ML NY Tenor Ligature. Boxed and immaculate. £20
Rovner Light Baritone Ligature (can’t make out the exact model). Fits most ebonite bari pieces. £20 SOLD
BG Harnesses: both to fit an adult male and can be used on alto, tenor and bari. These go over both shoulders and fasten around the torso. I have one with padding across the shoulders (overkill for all but a low a bari or a bass in my opinion), and one without. The padded version has a metal clip and the unpadded is plastic. £25 and £20 respectively.
