This is probably the best and most useful/versatile microphone in existence. Comes with full service history This has been kept in a smoke free professional environment and has complete service history by (A) Arbiter Group PLC (Feb 2000) and (B) Studiocare. The Studiocare service was carried out in June 2025 prior to selling and has not been used since testing. All documentation is supplied. Complete with power supply (also serviced) cable, pop shield, shock mount. This belonged to my great uncle who used it when he was in the army as drummer boy (they had to double on fife) Lovely instrument appears to be in the key of B (Thats the note it plays when you finger D, ie 3 fingers of left hand and 3 fingers of right hand) - someone who knows fife please correct me if that is wrong.

There's a bit of a story to this one. Once upon a time I was a pro player relying on doubling for stuff like Radio Orchestra gigs and had a decent Yamaha piccolo for such use. Then one day this homeless looking person came up to me asking if I wanted to buy a recorder. No thanks I said, then, maybe let's have a look. It was this tatty looking piccolo. I gave it a quick blow and was immediately blown away. So I gave him quite a lot more money than he was hoping for, hoped he didn't overdose, checked with police and MU that nobody had reported it stolen and here we are today. Oh yes I had it overhauled back then by Bill Lewingtons who appraised it at 2k - 3k. Since then it's been used occasionally and finely fettled by @Stephen Howard ...

Holton Collegiate Model 503 Cornet S/N 243,326 Manufactured in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, 1953 Vintage Holton Collegiate Model 503 Cornet in good playing condition with no dents or mechanical issues and only cosmetic wear. All the tubes are straight and true. It was serviced, adjusted and lubricated when I bought it. The fact is that I bought it on a whim thinking that I'd be able to learn to play it but I only worked at that sporadically before setting it aside because the embouchure was too difficult for me to make the transition to from sax. So I lubricated it and put it in its case and it's been there since then. I only took it out of the case just now to to photograph it to sell it. As you can see it has had use over its 70 years of...
