Hello, I'm looking for the project of a lifetime - a bass saxophone that I can restore to playing condition and then use. If anyone has good leads then I'd be very grateful.
Thanks

I bought a year back a 1929 Couesnon baritone and found it had the dual octave keys. I wasn't aware they were a thing but have been trying to accomodate to them without really having mastered them so far. OK when the tempo is slow enough shall we say! Thanks for the heads up and happy Easter Monday for those to whom its important.![]()

I'd be cautious on that one, it has been heavily modified, including relocation of tone holes etc. and even though I personally don't mind dual octave mechanism, if you are not used to it, it may sour the deal.
It's a pretty wild instrument for sure and probably better than factory new but it could be the opposite as well somebody thought they had some ideas to make it better and failed... Really no telling without test playing it for a day or two.
