SOTM SOTM Jan 2022 - Jambalaya

Finally put a take together. Had to do a few edits to make up for continuing breath problems, but here goes take 1:

Great playing Pete! Glad to hear you and that things were well enough to get a take. Sounds like a combo Boots Randolph and Earl Bostic on Tenor to me 😀. I wish I had that much control over a growl. Thanks for inspiring me to try more with this tune!

Well my waveform analysis was a total failure then. Sorry about that.
Hey man, you tried, that's all that matters. I had it kinda synced in Cubase but it was off by just a bit, nothing that made any real difference for me but when @Pete Thomas posted, I thought I'd ask and the 176 bpm lines up perfectly with the "bar boundaries". Again, thanks for trying and answering my post!

Really? 172 to 176 bpm is "total failure"? Wow, hope that pea under your dozen mattresses doesn't bother you TOO much.
A math mistake like that can mean the difference between your rocket landing on Mars or missing it entirely. I’ll have to go back to the drawing board on this one and see what I missed.

Thanks for sharing that, Pete. I hope this means that you’re feeling better.

Gear heads need to know: What’s your setup on this?

It had me wondering whether you played on any tracks for Benny Hill?

I was listening through the whole thing for a Yackety Sax quote. Bummed that I never heard it. Fun stuff.

Best to ya!
