Edit: Apologies, I just realized I am a day early, hope nobody objects
t's my pleasure to host this month's Member Recording thread with Softly as in a Morning Sunrise.
I know, Softly was already covered here but it was more than 7 years ago so there is no harm in a refresher.
The original thread is here and quite a few contributors from back then are still around, please feel free to post new recordings.
Another Cafe member posting from 12 years ago: Softly as in a morning sunrise!
If you are not or only vaguely familiar with the song, here is what I think is a very good background info on the song and its origin written by Romberg and Hammerstein, it's a bit winding but I found it well worth watching for a detailed breakdown:

There are a ton of YouTube including John Coltrane, Michael Brecker Sonny Rollins and a few dozen others on sax or Chet Baker on trumpet or George Benson on guitar.

Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise
Special thanks to @nigeld for creating the supporting materials, i.e. scores in Bb, C and Eb and a backing track with a 4 bar intro and then two passes of the song at 116 bpm:

Thanks in advance to all contributors!
