I enjoy BOTM and listening to your interpretations of the pieces. I often try the piece, although nowhere near ready to post my efforts, yet.

However, I see what Fraser is saying and maybe there is a place for a Standard Of The Month thread, SOTM.

Looking forward to hearing your versions of Virgo.

I agree entirely. I know my limitations but that doesn't stop me contributing to the BOTM threads. OK so I haven't done this months yet but there is still time.... so 'be afraid be very afraid...'

All that is needed is the desire to join in and try, then it doesn't matter what level the challenge is pitched at. The great thing about this Forum is that any criticism given is constructive and as such helps move us all forward.

I have put up a few recordings and although I thought they were 'not bad' they have all received advice as to how they can be improved for which I am infinitely grateful. If I think I can attempt the BOTM then I will and if I have some other 'toon' which I want criticised then it will go in the Beginners recordings thread. The only thing that will stop me trying is if Pete decides to close my account.... to protect the innocent

I would like to apologise if my earlier posting about multi-threading has in any way caused animosity and bad feelings to emerge. In some ways I wish that my somewhat flippant remarks had been left unsaid.

Anyway as Davey said let's get this thread back on track please... Ballads are ballads and I for one would be disappointed if we lost sight of the fact that we are all trying to have fun

Well the dreaded lip is nearly healed.Today i've had a little blow but still on 1 side of my big old gob,AKA Kenny G style.Next week i'll be back playing !!!!!!! again Chris a great 2 takes you done.
