Walstein Saxophones

Does anyone know much about the Walstein alto saxophone? I'm thinking about purchasing one, because it was recommended to me, but i havn't tried one yet, so i wouldn't know how good they are.

It's always best to try before you buy.

I'd say it was essential unless you want to take the 'IMO' huge risk.

Yeh! Thanks, it would be ideal if i could try it first, but the only place that sells it is woodwindandbrass, which i believe is down south, which is again too far away for me to travel.

But i think i might just try it out for maybe a week or so and see if i like it, and then if i don't i can send it back for a refund. But everyone has recommended it to me so far, so i think i might try this first and see.

The only problem is that there isn't really much info on the alto saxes. I hope it's as good as the tenor and soprano ones, that have been mentioned in the forums.
