Struggling to play third octave d

I have just started learning about the higher notes on an alto but without a teacher, I'm having difficulty physically playing the third octave E, Eb and F keys. My fingers can't seem to hold a comfortable position, especially when plaing the octave key.
Any advice?
Thanks

Many people have trouble sounding these palm notes, mainly it's due to embouchure but I gather this isn't your problem.

Hold the sax in your normal playing position and just raise your elbow slightly and curve your fingers over the palm keys - but without it being uncomfortable - can your reach them any better? It may be your hand is small so the reach is difficult. The thumb key for the octave can be adjusted to meet your thumb better and the palm keys can be adjusted likewise - maybe by purchasing palm key risers wichi slip on over the keys.
