Mouthpieces PPTs again

Hi guys, just wanted to see how you are getting on with your PPT's? I have had mine since Early Dec and just love it, playing with Rico jazz selects 2M's. What are you doing? Lori did yours get through the snow in Vermont? Phil

I've never played one, but I hate to see an unanswered post. It does seem a little mystifying to me that no PPT user has yet replied, and all sorts of speculation are possible, not that I will openly do that.

Anyway, Phil, I'm glad that you are a satisfied customer.

Its the Tenor Sax mouthpiece that I use, and was bought just before the PPT emerged - Excellent sound, handmade by Francois in Belgium 😉

I'm at work at the mo. Doing my grade 3 in June. Got band practice next week, so busy busy busy...
What is the difference between a cornet and a trumpet. I suppose one has no ice cream on top.. Sorry could'nt help that :laugh:

Pete, can you have a quiet word when you are back 😉

Cornet is generally a more compact instrument than a trumpet and the width of the tube gradually increases until it reaches the bell, so produces a mellower sound (half way between a trumpet and flugelhorn). Other than that the instruments are both in Bb, same as for soprano/tenor sax, and have a 2.5 octave range from low F# to C above the stave (and above if you have the technique).
