Multiple musical genres - How many mouthpieces?

I am primarily an alto player. My classical mouthpiece is a Rousseau 4R which allows me to produce the concept of sound I am looking for. In a jazz quartet playing in a "cool" Desmond style it would work. Playing lead alto in a big band that set up would not allow the volume and "edge" required for that setting and style. For that I would use my Vandoren V16 s A9.
I suppose I could tone it down using a different reed and embouchure to play in a sax quartet, but I don't want to work that hard.

I tend to divide what I play into "classical" and "the rest". Consequently I generally have two mouthpieces on the go for each sax. Except for tenor cos classical on tenor is just wrong. 😉
