Alright, let's see them

This is my baby, shot with a 4"x5".

yam custom z is a really good looking horn.. i have the unlaquered alto, but the tenor looks a class act.. its just the simpleness of the thing...

i'm only commenting on looks now..not on sound but if it plays as good as my alto, i'm sure its a joy to play too.

I've disposed of my 34 Chu in order to fund a new sop,
so this is my remaining choice of tenors:

A good move as long as your home isn't infested by cats, dogs, small kids or a combination of the above! As i know to my cost!

My Martin Handcraft Std from -38-39, 128XXX. The thickwalled Martins with soldered toneholes produce a dark tone. The keys are solid nickel- silver. The thumbrest (left) is adjustable. I think the ergonoimics on "The Martin" is better. I have sterling silver Reso-Tech resonators mounted. Gives a brighter and louder sound. I prefer mouthpieces with baffle and medium chamber on Martins. The moutpiece is an old Czech-made. Before that I played a Dukoff X7. Ligature BG "FL". Reed LaVoz MH or H. A perfect horn for Blues, R&B and Rock 'n' Roll!

sweet looking Martin tenor, Thomsax. I think those Handcrafts are underrated. My 50's Martin Indiana alto was a killer player when I had it.

Yea, the Walstein is Chinese. It's a heavy, solid horn with quick action and a fat, beefy tone. I just got it playing recently so right now I'm in the bonding stage. I like to pretend it's some fancy expensive custom sax because it looks like one (the Inderstein?)

😀

Are the Waldsteins flexible when it comes to mouthpieces?

One Cat - I listened to your YouTube sound clip and both you and your sax sounds great. I'm guessing the Chinese saxes will be a hard competion for some manufactors. The Indiana from the mid 50's and later were infact a Committee I. The Martin factory retooled and sold the saxes as a secondline horn under the Indiana brand. Same bore and toneholes placement. Of course without nickel-silver keys.
