Saxophone beginners What is right? (Embouchure)

Today's lesson, like some has mentioned, "differs from player to player". So me curling both upper and lower lip and I feel comfortable and can play, then I should stick with it. Basically something that Nick has already stated. If what you do feels right and can play then it probably is.

He said he has students with lower lip out, or upper lip out or blah blah but as long as they feel comfortable and they can get the sound they want then all is right.

Today he taught me new exercises, tonguing and basic saxophone maintenance. Yup! All is good, he will send me some exercises for me to play and he got into basic chords. I know chords on guitar but saxophone chords is new to me. Same concept but different playing and all.

Woohoo! I am also playing a Backstreet Boys song on my saxophone!

What? Some of their songs are nice. Not all of it. They got some really crappy ones like the one that goes "Get down, get down, get moving all around" or something silly.

Metallica! Ah yes, I covered a song by them and Iron Maiden when I was playing lead. But all hell broke loose when my guitar soloing skills took a nose dive into the toilet bowl. I also like Bullet for my Valentine, Ozzy Osbourne and a couple of others. But didn't really like "Whiskey in the Jar", it felt too pop-ish for me. I prefer "Master of Puppets" and "One".
