I am no longer deleting my videos. The first two notes should correspond to “one bright” in the words. I printed the notation from a midi file which wasn’t exactly like the original. I’m not aware of what is off sounding about this, it was partially improvised and I was just going by feel. What are you noticing?

The opening notes are out of tune, or off key. The same phrase gets more accurate later in the piece. Perhaps a run, leading into the first phrase, would help you pitch it more accurately.

Being picky, the phrasing is a little careless too. Gone is the smokey laid back feel of the other two pieces. Perhaps more practice with this one would make it feel like you were more comfortable with it.

I like it! You are doing fine.

There is an intro on some versions. Starts in a key ½ step below the rest of the song. I looked at your fingers and you use the Bis -, G# and just no fingers so is it intro in concert Eb and the rest of the song in concert E (F/F# on tenor)??

Try to do this excercise to help up to play the first tone. It's called "Tegelstenar" in swedish which means bricks in english. Start with a full attack but keep the tongue on the reed to prevent the airstream to reach the mouthpiece. Try to "hear" the tone you are going to blow! Pull quickly back the tongue from the reed while you say "ta". Try to get the tone height/pitch right. No sliding. Cut off the tone on beat four by quickly place the tongue on the read again. Do this excercise in quarter and fith leaps.
