Same: @Map any pictures?That's a new one on me
@MMM ?
Saxontheweb forum? I didn’t so that but I am aware the grassis now are not the same thing, as you say made in China and the only connection being the name.On the other sax forum, there is a post from 2008 that said "Grassi has recently sold its brand name to a wholesaler.
In the first post they quoted a mail from Rampone that said thisSaxontheweb forum? I didn’t so that but I am aware the grassis now are not the same thing, as you say made in China and the only connection being the name.
Sadly they use a the same trademark logo design and do actually say Grassi Italy which seems a bit misleading. Sold by G4M
They proudly present their Italian heritage, though.
That’s an early model probably mid 60s (before they switched the the left hand little finger keys a la Selmer) prior to the Export model. Looks in very good condition.
Not relevant in this case: the model pictured is an old made in Italy model, stencilled for a reseller probably.On the other sax forum, there is a post from 2008 that said "Grassi has recently sold its brand name to a wholesaler.
Today Grassi saxophones on the market are made in China"
Old news I guess, but I thought it might be relevant here.....
