As a break from the " Course" I thought I'd have a play with this months tune. This is an extended version with a full 32 bar second chorus then tag ending, just incase anyone wants to try this backing track..It really is a great tune that Ian has picked this month..

Clivey - What runs! Very expressive as well. I really enjoyed your take.

Davey - Always love to hear what you bring and this was no exception. Normally I think six minutes is too long but I coulda listened another six!

Chris - Although I would have liked the sax a little higher in the mix I agree with everyone that the sound you are bringing is getting better all the time, nice take.

The sax is OK thank god. so I`ll be improving on this take later in the month I hope

spot on version, great personalised version, i like how you 'launched' yourself into the melody and the improvisation section, was a real 'here i am' statement..

Had a full on week gigging so just sat down today and had a chance to have quick blow through 1 of the 2 tracks for this months choice.May do the other version in the different key in a week or so.Enjoy.

nice 1 fella, well within the context of the piece, nice to see you using some dynamic expression here, especially when you play a bit softer, gives it a better feel i think and the chance to show different aspects of tone.

Was waiting waiting for the sea fret fog to burn away so I jumped up and done my 2nd version in the different key,different track.Went for a darker more jazzy busy moody vibe here as the 1st version was more airy,modern bright sounding.I like the different contrast of the 2.Heres the 2 links together.

Yea my fave is 1 but then again its not a competition which 1 is best.Its 2 different feel,moods,different sounding pieces in 2 different key and track formats.

Its just when I do a couple/few versions of the same tune I try to keep them in my mind as different beasts,work so to speak so I can sort of get a nice contrast and I enjoy the process.It lets me hear 2 worlds with there good and bad points 🙁 As said I also like the 1st version so I agree for sure 😀
