Hi Pete,

Shame about the obviously used condition of the Jody Jazz but it sounds hopeful that it might be what you are looking for, that or the 7* whichever you decide on, and hopefully will provide you with a good basis to find and refine your sound. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.

P.S. I've just had an e-mail recommending a JJDV 7 for my alto. 😛 But I'm not tempted, well not much, but they do look nice... :S

If anyone is interested, I have a JJ HR 7 which has had a step baffle added by expert refacer Ed Zentera, and I never play it because it's a little too hard to blow for me, compared with my JJDV6...similar sort of sound, though, IMO.
I'll put it in the FS section.
