Mouthpieces Another mouthpiece query..

Hey there Frank,

As Linky says, that is quite a jump indeed. The one thing I would urge you to do is to order a new 3.5 just to be sure the one your mate left in hadn't been broken in already. Just one or two to be sure.

Hi Reed watchers,
Linky, you've panicked everyone. I didn't say I was playing a 1.5. I said ,that because of problems with my Rico Royal no. 2, I was tempted to move down to a 1.5. Then I found & tried the 3.5 with great results.
Tengu: I think you are right about the 3.5 having been 'broken in'.
I've received my selection of reeds now and will post progress.

ah, sorry there Frank. Still what works works, I've just never heard of any one making such a huge jump as that before. As Tengu say's you will need to playsome others of similar strength as reeds aren't 100% consistent for strength. You buy a box of 2's and you get about 6 at the right strength, the others are normally harder and maybe one which is softer (Generally anyway from what I've found).

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
