Hello, i'm collector, i know all people on the cafe are not collector,

If you have one or many horn, share you horn, your story,
What is your rarest, your most exotical, you favorite horn, or your only one horns
I've got maybe 40-42 horns, and it's difficulte to say what is the best, or the most favorite,
I love all my horn ( soprillo too, Yeah i love soprillo, it was old dream to have the shorter)
J'adore ma collection, mais je suis aussi triste car, pour moi, elle est incomplete,
je don't try to say it was finish, i was addict by find and buy a new horn (vintage)
I create one organize of my adding of collection
I'm calm now, Yeah i will continue to add another horn, but not as this two years
In two years, i adding 25 instruments in more, pratically one by month and not low budget (one soprillo, octavin, conn f mezzo, saxello, perfect curved, tipped bell buescher, Straight alto, c soprano adolphe sax, couesnon alto low A high G... Etc.)
Maintenant, je vais plus calme cela, peut-être limité à 5 ou 6 cornes par an, peut-être moins 3-4
Now, my favorite horn is Probably between 4-5 modèles :
Conn F mezzo soprano because it was my dream to have one (now the conn ô sax in the futur, we can have dream)
Buescher tipped bell because the sound is so really dark and very Nice for soprano
-C soprano adolphe sax 1853-1854 for this rarity and conception, and for the possibility of this history that it lives during this 173 years, it Probably singing by many People, i can imagine this story, i
-Adolphe sax Bb soprano 1858 the last horn for same reason, it was made, knowing the period of Napoleon 3 and the great war, the second war, and it plays really good, In good condition and that is really impressionnant.
-lyons and healy stencils perfect curved : it's Probably not the best soprano, but the coolest design and the sound was really explosive, it's Probably hard to play slowly, it's brutal playing and you're just fight all time against the horn to play slowly, but brillant manufacture and brillant idea and very underrated and forgotten instrument, i find it's better than saxello King for me
-couesnon alto low A and High G was my dream with couesnon dupasquier system that I've not, because it's couesnon, i love couesnon for this creativity and crazy opportunity, couesnon try to make anything and sold anything,
-soprillo eppelsheim Yeah special horn, definitively not for all, but the creativity of eppelsheim, the brillant conception, it's pure crazy of imagination, but it's really funny to play, very hard, but just funny, and good potential
For me that is my favorite horns
You can say your disappoitment too if you want
My really deception is Probably King saxello and straight alto buescher
It's not bad horn, not bad conception,
For straight alto, is cool design, is cool horn, very Nice, but i don't find the straight really Best or réal relevant with normal true tone
I love my straight, that is not problem, it's really Nice collector and really cool and really rare but for me, in total objectivity, i will can say it's the best, buy one and play one but not,
If you can pay one 4000$ okay, but it was sold pratically 10 000$, for me it's not justifcate to pay 10x more on basic true tone for straight, you could be if you're collector, but excepted that, don't pay this difference, okay the sound is really Nice and different but Not enough to justify paying 10 times as much.
I recommand largely better to keep your money to buy anything different : conn F mezzo soprano for exemple is better invest than straight alto buescher
(not Best horn, i don't talk about the quality or anything, but most interesting to buy conn f mezzo soprano and have really unique horn and special True horn, of finally on alto but straight design, the straight design for 10x one same horn but curved)
The King saxello was my second little disappointement because it was for me overrated, it's not better than perfect curved or tipped bell, but i feel it was most iconic and most popular of the other horn that i listed, and i don't know why, because king saxello are good horn but not better than tipped bell buescher, and not better than perfect curved which it had worst reputation if i remember exactly
It was not better but has more popular, that is for that is my second little deception
