Strangely - Neither Bobby G or Jools have been heard from since they both, separately but in the same week, went on holiday to Cornwall.

Neither of them travelled far without a horn so maybe they were kidnapped by the Provisional Cornish Separatist SMS (Special Morrismen Side) and turned to the dark side (or did I dream that?)

Anyway - whatever the reason for their disappearance - it's a shame because they made very valuable contributions to this forum - and they were nice chaps!

Yes they were (and hopefully still are). Maybe they didn't have the 60p to get back over the Tamar bridge.

Hey, I'm still around now and then but my saxophone studies came to a halt over the summer as I took on a full time job which only left me practice time at anti-social hours.

On the plus side I finished a year a uni debt free. On the negative I've changed course so am going to be at uni for another 4 years.

Back at uni now though and I took my first rehearsal of the uni big band last night, so hopefully I can find a regular practice slot and get back into it again.

Students........now four years living off our tax payments.......I didn't fight in seven World Wars to keep you in permanent studenthood and cheap Union Bar beer....no respect.....parasites.......no wonder we have a crisis....probably on drugs.......

You obviously didn't fight hard enough, 2.20 the cheapest pint isn't exactly cheap! But if it makes you feel any better I'm only in England for 18 months, I also spend 18 months in Germany studying and a year on work placements. I'm now doing European Business and German. I'll also be awarded 2 degrees on the basis I pass them both. One from the German institute as well as Portsmouth.

So far it's been going much better and I'm glad to be studying German again. Surprisingly I'm enjoying the maths too. I'm going to be living in Muenster next year which I'm rather excited about.

Welcome back, I was wondering where you'd got to. I thought you were studying music at Uni :?

Sounds like you're doing a serious course though. Glad you're still finding the time for bandwork. Weren't you going to do a bit of musical director stuff - how did it go?
