Gigs Sax player to join House DJ and Bongos player

I've been doing this sort of stuff for a while, but North London is a little far to travel (from New Zealand). Recordings are possible though if you can't find a "local".

Do yourself a favor and screen out the "jazzers" as you need someone who plays melodically rather than arpeggios and finger exercises. My experience is that most dance music is devoid of melodic ideas and emphasizes rhythm (for obvious reasons). However dancers respond extremely strongly to the music when there is a melody/emotion or story within the music. It's another level beyond rhythm. The jazzer will usually just try to impress which is totally the wrong feel as it just makes the music muddy and dancers don't give a **** about listening to an ego. They are there to have fun and the music is not the subject, its just a means/facilitator.

My advise would be to find a versatile "Jazza" they usually know what they are doing

Agree, serve the music not the ego
