Did you burp/belch/eructate just before starting to play the above?

There were times when your tone, intonation and playing were pretty spot on (to me as a novice). I do wonder if some of it is a bit too avant garde perhaps?

I was out of my mind when I played this.

I remembered the nice lady at the Vandoren Musician's Advisory Studio, Los Angeles gave me three free Juno reeds! So I was able to play this morning. The reed played surprisingly well, after break in, I could sub tone. The downsides were less sharp articulation, and the thickness of the reed limited vibrato. It sort of reminded me of a V16.

I experimented with playing some overtone music near the end. Alon was a tired soul this morning. This jam gave me some energy to recharge my day.

I got my usual reeds today. I can't believe I survived the whole weekend without these!

I've been finding inspiration for songs to play from my dreams. I dreamed of a line from this song. And then later the next day, I dreamed of 'Good Bait.'

Tomorrow's song will be Good Bait.

I've remarked on your good points previously but the point I'm going to make today not just about the way you deliver the melody also your improvisation throughout is that it lacks a lot of direction clarity of thought it also lacks phrasing this is why I have attempted to write this in a way that mimics your delivery of the tune especially no punctuation no breaths music also needs to feel like it needs a breath too your playing goes across these points and I would go so far as to say that it feels quite uncomfortable because of it @Colin the Bear would tell you to sing the melody to understand the natural phrasing and whilst I don't agree that this is a must for everybody I think he'd be 100% correct in this instance

An aside on tone production: it could be how this was recorded - and I know that you've obsessed about that recently - but of all the notes you play (most of the normal range of the instrument) one note in particular really sings, sounds right in the middle of pitch, is centred / supported etc - low F. See if you think that acoustically there...

I was so tired and out of it when I played this. I was just determined to get some sort of take, for myself. My hearing was shot too, from working on another project. Today I am feeling more rested.

I am critically testing my short bungee cord attachment on my sax harness belt to see if it works for me. It's short and tight so it keeps the horn close to me although it can feel a bit restrictive sometimes, but I think overall having the horn kept close is not a bad thing. I didn't seem to have too many problems playing this today so I think I can leave it alone for now.

I couldn't not comment on this one.

It starts off great, in tune, on time, great tone, then you start shaving a pig and then it all comes back together with the melody.

As soon as you're not reading, pitch control goes out of the window.

A lot of improvers do this. My advice would be to try to keep in tune when soloing. Listen to what you're playing while playing. Keep it simple. Stay in key. Stay on song.
Try sticking to Chord tones and then join them up with passing tones.
Try decorating the melody.

If you get lost, pick up the melody to ground yourself, instead of noodling aimlessly.

Show off the music not your dexterity.

DO TRY to be thinking of what they sound like, and DO TRY to make them musical.

Charlie Parker’s solos all sounded similar too. What do shoes have to do with anything?
