My First Clip

Hi Everyone.

Ive been playing for 16monthsand Here is my first ever recorded Sax Clip .

(It might be a bit out if tune as its a Soprano and I have lost my tuner so i had do play it by ear.... but lets just forget about that little issue lol)

I like it!

It was a bit of a rubbish hosting site, but the track was great!
Especially your crescendos.

It sounds like a fairly cheap mic though, does the job but doesn't really capture the 'whole' sound of the instrument. What did you use?

Just tried to download it and the site says I have exceeded my download quota by 308mb ?? I've never been on this site in my life !!!!!. What's going on ?? 😡

For me it said I didn't have enough download modules or something so I had to wait 15 seconds, then it worked fine.

Took around 5minutes all in all to download a 3mb file! 4.5 of them was getting it to start the download!

To be fair to it, it's in it's 'beta' stage. Shouldn't really be open to the public it's awful.

I did the recording on my friends MAC. No mic, the computer just picks the sound up.

Yes, the site is crap. I will upload it too a better site. Give us a min

Fair enough, the saxophone would sound more 'colourful' or maybe you'd describe it as 'fuller' or 'richer' If it were mic'd up with a nice microphone.

I liked the scalic falls between some notes as well, wasn't too much of it, but was stated and shown again a few times. Nice.

i think you have a really good feel for this tune - i could feel the lyric to some extent
the background sounds, presumably from the limitations of the technology, are a bit trippy, but your core sound is not unpleasant - a feat for a sop player

i disagree with linky in that i think you slightly overdo the falls and so they lose a bit of impact, but maybe thats just me

I like the falls simply because I think they sound better and more interesting than just going from note-to-note
