posting links to my piano improvs on this site has been very meaningful to me this year, and I'm glad I discovered this forum and have been encouraged by comments, enough to keep recording more!

i made a selection of my favorite improv work this year, and here are all the mp3s:

about half of them are jazz or jazz-inspired, the others are more experimental, including some fun I've had with virtual orchestra technology.

Very nice, I wish my piano playing were as good as yours, it would certainly be helpful.

Piano is one instrument I believe is key to a musician. I've been tinkering for around 2 years now and can get some basic tunes out of it, but I still don't have the independence on my left hand as much as I would like. The different rhythms aren't the problem, it's moving to the keys that is. I used to bash drums, so my co-ordination is pretty good.

I was in piano lessons that was heavily concert based, sadly I dropped out after 2 years (if only I had taken jazz piano >.<). Because of that I know a decent amount of beginner theory that really helped me when I first started on sax.
