Some pics of my new JJDV.CHI Over the moon with this piece, does all that my JJDV.NY does, but has a magical edge to the sound. From eBay at about 1/2 the new retail price. I emailed the seller as I normally do after, when the item goes for less than expected. He did mention that he was not all that happy with the final price, but he thought the piece was a bit stuffy. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was probably the JJ ring lig he was using. I use the Francois Louis brass doesn't match as well as with the the gold plated NY piece but it is anything but stuffy. Anyway looking forward to posting a clip.

Take care of the plating. It was rubbish on my baritone. I left the reed on overnight after a late gig (careless, I know) and when I took it off in the morning the plating came with it. Good mouthpiece though.

I've had mine just over a year plating superb maybe just a bad one, or maybe mines a good one really like it but prefer hard rubber, may be in yardsale yet.

I found this very good for quite a few tired Yanagisawa metal Alto MP,s it actually builds up the silver plating, but there is a limit to the thickness.

This piece was described as mint, but not quite. I used the the silver plating polish, and it came up like new.

It looks like new so that plating polish must be something special.

Anyway, this is my gold plated one after leaving one reed on overnight. I wasn't impressed.
