BOTM Here's That Rainy Day May 2017 BOTM

I have to post, 'cause I'm the host. I'm sticking to alto for the moment. Hopefully this post will be at the bottom of the page and sink quietly into oblivion. It would seem that others are either not engaged or finding it as difficult as me. PLEASE POST! Says me on my bended grovelling knees.

☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️

Bar set at lowest possible level.

EDIT
Just seen it's not at the bottom any more, B*****R

@Nick Wyver No falling asleep here either to quote @Alice . Thanks for posting twice has given me something to listen to and contemplate, mostly my own inadequacies. My teacher who I respect a lot as both teacher and player says ballads are the most dificult genre to play for him. You have to excelled in both melody and improv I just wish I could...........

Regards Al

I love both verions. Will you be recording it played on Alto as well... so that us Altos can hear how it's meant to be played @Nick Wyver ?

I think, very few people can play convincingly at the slow speed that singers can manage.

You need a mix of a completely stable tone, and a solid, relevant vibrato. Like most people with limited experience, I have neither yet, I think slow ballads highlight this.

But, there's probably more room for a noticeable improvement therefore 🙂
