A forum member from Cornwall is saving you from the temptation of buying the aforementioned Vito.
I am not a clarone (old term for bass clarinet) player, and I know that it can be worked out better up there, but overdubbing a beast with 3+ octaves readily available is big fun.

Add reverb, wear a thoughtful face, and you are ready for ECM.

I might run to an old do up specimen. I reckon it would go down well busking and at the local jazz night. I think hearing aids pick up the low notes better.

It's been a long time since I recorded myself, and boy, what a shock! I'd forgotten how the smooth easy confidence (yeah, yeah) disappears as soon as that "record" button is hit.

Anyway, for what it's worth, getting it in before Easter hols.
