Good morning,

We thought it might be good to have a thread where you can just come and say hi, tell us what you are doing today, have a moan, share an idea that you wouldn't necessarily start a thread for ( we can always create a new thread from posts here if it became a substantial discussion).

It doesn't have to be sax related🙂

Basically an easy way to connect on a daily basis.

So to kick us off, I am writing this whilst prepping a casserole for the slo cooker as I am playing sax today with café sax and need a quick easy tea when I get home.

I am still suffering with a cough which will impact my playing today and I am worried as we are playing our first care home gig next Sunday!!

Recovering from singing in a big concert yesterday. Considering mowing grass, if the rain stays away.

So many books are now ready on devices but I love books. Love those houses where they have a wall full of books 🙂

Good morning, the sun is actually peeping out from behind the clouds for once so going to the coast for some fresh air and a walk. Might just have a little ice cream. Hope you all have a great day.

I've just had a lie in, lovely, crispy bacon sandwhich. Done some washing, got it blowing out on line, I'm contemplating having a practise shortly but the bother I'm having with low notes is putting me off a bit, so I might give it a miss...just for today and reset my sax mojo! Then I'm going to make sunday dinner, beef and trimmings for me, hubby, 2 sons and my son in law. Nice, fairly chilled day. X

Sounds wonderful, sometimes a day off can help with sax problems.

I love getting washing on the line I think because it signifies sunnier times 🙂

For the first time in about 20 years I am a tad hungover. Twas a family do where far too much gin was consumed by me. I did, however, manage to play some tenor for the assembled throng before I got completely incapable. Coffee and bacon rolls are effecting a cure.

Yes and it smells good. It's nice here in Leeds, bit chilly but sunny and breezy. Birds chirping, Kev cat watching them with predatory eye, pretending hes not bothered. Right...beef to prep. Have a good day everyone, enjoy whatever you're doing x

Broke the USB port on my Mic. Played on my tenor, and a bit of Alto practice for Fridays concert featuring my first improvised solo all whilst nursing a sore tailbone I banged a fortnight ago.

First gardening day of the year. Cleanup, mostly.
Also relocation of one rose object which I grew from a cutting and, turns out, has thorns like fishing hooks. So it's moved away from where one might walk! I hope it survives... Someone else wouldn't mind if it didn't.

A bit of a whirlwind few days. Had a fundraiser house concert with my friend at her house near where I live in Ireland and it was amazing. Great turnout, fun and appreciative generous crowd. Played flute and alto sax with a new Selmer Concept mouthpiece which was great - although a HUGE change feom the Phil Barone 7 star I usually play. We played an exletic mix feom Ravel to RadioHead to Wayne Shorter. Left for Spainnext morning and writing this on the beach in Nerja! 😎 Life is good!

Small lie in this morning after getting back late from a wedding gig which overran, as they all do... Followed by lots of cake for my niece's 9th birthday, a nice dog walk in the park and now off to play some Beethoven 6 in an orchestra.
