Using time at cyber caff to catch up on the takes. all good to me. I,m finding this song a bit deceptive regarding the improvisation but hopefully I,ll get a keeper before the end of the month if I manage to think of something to play over the little middle section. lol.

Heres my first "kind of listenable take". I know what what I,m after but the brain and fingers are not synching yet. maybe they never will. I,ll hopefully get that middle 8 nailed at some some point., meantime the sun is out and the beach tempts.

I did never play or even hear this song before this BOTM and tried to record a version with the vibe of the beautiful Hank Mobley clip in post #1 of this thread, but that was not so easy with only 5 minutes practice time available before hitting the record button! So I had to improvise some parts (= bridge) that I couldn't figure out fast enough with my bad musical reading skills. Here is my quick and dirty take of this month:

Here is my version on alto. I took the key down to C major which felt better on alto for this piece. If anyone would like I can share the backing track. I didn't write out a lead sheet. I just transposed the one provided.
