@Khaos - looks like our messages have got mixed up. In that post I was trying to contact @rhysonsax rather than you.

But I have tried to contact you in an earlier post because the link to your Georgia Soundcloud file in post #109 is not working any more. If you have re-recorded and have deleted the old soundcloud track then you need to edit the post and update the link to point to the new version. Or it might be easier just to make a new post.

Ah that explains it. There's a tangle of mail headers on my 'phone from a crash.

It's coming up to the end of the month. Lot's of good versions this month, so many thanks to all the contributors. A special thanks to @U CAN CALL ME AL who provided recordings with all four sax sizes from baritone to soprano. (Or maybe he just recorded a bari version and speeded it up for the others.)

There is still time to add another version if you haven't done so yet.

A very good month but it went so quickly. I meant to do another recording using a slightly funky backing from Stadardstrax.com but then my soprano had to go to the tech. I tried playing this on my R&C saxello that I haven't touched for several years and I wasn't sure how to mic it up.

Georgia on my Mind Eb - Rhys sop V1.wav - Box

Thanks @nigeld for being such an excellent host and to everyone for all those different recordings.

@rhysonsax - many thanks for ending the month on a funky note. Nice recording. You should play that saxello more often.

Sorry I have been late to the party, but this is one of my all time favorite tunes. This was recorded using my Conn 10M with a Jody Jazz 7* and a Vandoren Java green box #3. A Shure SM57 into Audacity was used to record.
By jove I think I have finally found my voice and perfect set-up. (It only took 60 years.)

@jbtsax - What a lovely way to end the month!

I had been hoping that you would post a recording, and this was a very fine one indeed.

Congratulations on finding "your" setup and "your" voice. It sounds like a voice that is comfortable with itself, if you see what I mean.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
