Misc recording A music night in Harlow essex

As many of you know, a music night was organised by none other than our very own Pauly T 8)
Paul put a lot of hard work into organising this event. Not only did he find a suitable venue, but he managed to persuade his band, Scarface Jones, to be the house band. A very fine job they did too. :bow:
Dave Gungehead came along and brought Jason, an alto player, with him. Jeff Semiquaver was there, despite his fresh and lingering scars from the Half Moon debacle! Bobby G came, armed with a lorry load of saxes and Bill Dooce brought me....and his honking great Conn.
I'm not writing this as a review, more of a thank you to all concerned, especially Paul, for all his hard work and the band for putting up with us. Well done lads.
A special thanks goes to Bill, for being my chauffeur for the evening and putting up with me talking crap for three hours! :laugh:
Well I've said my piece, now to the videos. As I complete them, I'll post a link here. So here's the first, second and third exciting instalment.

Pauly T and Scarface Jones followed by me then an impromptu bit of blues with Bobby G on alto and me on tenor

Bobb G on Alto and Paul (guest) on Guitar followed by Bill on that old Conn of his

Me again followed by Pauly T and Scarface Jones

Jason on alto followed by Bill playing in a unfamiliar key, then Bob and I make up a horn section

Jason and Bill shakin' ratlin' and rollin' then Bob shows off his ability on the tenor

Pauly T and the band with Bobby G and I on the horn section followed by what can only be described as chaos...judge for yourselves

Well folks this is the last one, It's PaulyT and his band Scarface Jones...Thanks again Paul for making it such a cracking night

Sue, Paul is amazing. He has so much enthusiasm and energy for what he is doing. He sings every song like it is an encore.

Good work Pete. I hate the thought of seeing or hearing myself play, but that wasn't too painful. Did you get Shake Rattle and Roll?

Watching the vid, I could sit back and appreciate what you and Bobby were doing better than I could in the pub at the time, and you are both excellent - spot on!

For my part, the phrase 'getting away with it' springs to mind :laugh: but it's great to hear what you really sound like, which is more sax-y than I thought it would be!

(thinks: should have played through those gaps on Mustang Sally - maybe next time)

Ah the gaps in Mustang Sally..... Wonderful excuse for some truly off-the-wall whackiness. Best dealt with while standing on a chair, I find. Amazing what you can get away with while standing on a chair.......... :laugh:

Hey People, thanks for all the great comments, not only about the evening and everyones playing, but on my videos too. Its a bit of a hobby of mine.

Top stuff Pete. Whatever anyone may think about the, erm, talent on show, no-one can deny the enthusiasm and the fun we had that night, which your vids get across very well.

Am I really contemplating another 3 hours on the motorway for the torture of playing Hard to Handle in the wrong key?????????
