Saxophones Wireless mic and reverb effects

Been playing a year now and looking at getting a wireless clip on mic. The Isolo Choice mic comes with mic, transmitter and receiver WITH effects like echo and reverb. Thinking of getting one but concerned will it be ok in the UK it ships from Taiwan. Assuming the 9v power supply can be used in UK. It’s the effects I am after. Anyone in UK bought one they are £425. I guess you have, but check that the frequency is useable/permitted here in the UK.

I’m not in the know about which frequencies, just from sound guys that it can be a problem. Cheaper transmitter/receivers can lose each other too I think. A google tea break will no doubt sort you, or a techie coming in on this thread.

I have the SD Systems LM89. Great mic but not wireless ( though can be bought as such now). 5 years ago the techies made it wireless for me as lots of solos out front etc. Pretty certain it was a Shure wireless pack.

The Isolo mic seems UK compatible. A lot to pay out , hoping someone UK has bought one.

Not wanting to be Mr Negative, but they seem pretty expensive for what appears to be a basic system. Do you really need inbuilt FX? I can't imagine they're particularly high quality given the package. And 50 and/or 100 feet is not very far really. I can't for the life of me work out why you'd have to choose between which distance you'd want to use, either.

There's also only jack out, no XLR. I couldn't find anything about setting input levels.

What are you hoping to use your new system for?

At this stage I just want to experience hooking the sax up to electrics , mic, rowland street cube amp but have the freedom to move using a clip on mic with transmitter that doesn’t have a lead to a body pack. Then main thing be able to experiment with reverb and delay effects.
If not the Isolo Choice (that does all these things) I was thinking of the Boss Ve 20 processor (attached pic)that I saw on YouTube but i’d Still need the clip on mic with transmitter and receiver.
Any suggestions please help it’s all very
new !!!

Chris, I took a quick look at the owners handbook on their website. I may be wrong but it appears to only have 1 channel. Double check with the company. If you only have 1 channel and you are in a venue (hotel/club) that uses wireless mics you might loose your signal/sound if another mic is on your same channel. And if their are several mics it will be difficult to determine which one is stepping on you.

You might want to consider a unit with multiple channels. If you end up with a unit that has a separate body pack it is very easy to hook the BP to the low Bb guard. Just sometime to consider. You will have a lot of fun with a wireless unit

Whilst I am not an expert in this area, it is something I've been looking at recently and I have to agree with @Veggie Dave that this seems rather expensive for what it is.

The 2.4GHz means it operates in the same frequency as your standard wi-fi at home out of your router.

The frequency response of 10Hz to 20kHz is the nominal range of human hearing so it's saying it covers the range from the lowest to the highest you can hear (in reality, most adults over 25 lose the top octave and won't hear anything above 10kHz anyway, which is normal).

I haven’t bought the Isolo mic or the Cube amp yet. I was advised if I want a good amp for small or outside use to go for this. I can see it has reverb and delay. I guess that opens up options on simply getting a wireless clip on mic with integral transmitter (no bodypack) and receiver without inbuilt effects.
Would still like to know if anyone is using one.

This is what I've done with my wireless setup. It's not as pretty as the isolo, but considerably cheaper! I'll try to get some photos when I get home.

That is great, Would you mind letting me know what mic, transmitter, receiver you went for. And if you can get delay, reverb or should I just be reliant on the Amp for this ,like the Cube. The Isolo Choice set up is £425.
