My son brought these two bottles from his trip to France. The red was a little dry on first taste but once it had been opened a while was quite nice. The rose was a unusually a very dark pink and very nice to drink. :)

New Year's Eve dinner main course was lovely cuts of fillet steak with green beans and parmentier potatoes. The steak was from Waitrose, ordered first thing this this morning and as good as from our former local butcher, which has changed hands and now open only a few days a week not including Monday. All cooked by our sons so Mrs YC didn't have to set foot in the kitchen. This was accompanied by a superb Argentinian Malbec, Laborum 2015, as in the photo. A great way to end the year so far as prandial perambulations are concerned (sorry, the wine was very good and I'd had a Gin Mare and Fevertree Mediterranean as well).
