Just a heads up that further to the recent (minor) upgrade there are about to be a couple of changes.

These aren't just changes for the sake of it, the upgrade revealed a couple of places where perhaps it would be better if the theme was a bit less customised - there is more of a chance for bugs and conflicts to creep in when there are so many customisations.

So just to let you know the login/member account bar (with alerts DMs and search) is moving back to its original position level with the main navigation. This means we don't need the search in the main navigation, it was only there because the main search was out of the way right at the top.

The other changes are to do with prefix sorting. that will happen later on today - these should be improvements but as always, all feedback is welcome even though we can not always make everyone happy.

The above changes have now taken place.

A while back we switched from a "many forums and subforums" format to having a less cluttered forum list with only a few main forums.

This meant we needed to have more thread prefixes in order to organise topics within each subform, but then that ended up with a lot of clutter as there are many prefixes.

We've now found a way to group those under different headings which I prefer. YMMV, let us know.

A couple of nice new features came along for the ride:

  • Prefix sorting in the new list (not quite working yet though)
  • Prefix ignoring (under your preferences in account settings.
This last one may be specially useful for some people now that we have fewer forums, and also because the original ignore content addon is not being supported so may go AWOL anyway.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
