I'd second Wakyct there. If you're restarting after a prolonged absence, taking some lessons will help you avoid learned faults that will seriously hamper your progress - and therefore aid avoiding frustration and increased mental health! As for books, I recommend Larry Teal's "The Art of Saxophone Playing" as it covers everything from technique to the history of the instrument, and for easy enough fun tunes, The Best of James Rae.
