Miscellaneous What are you listening to (plus reviews)

I also love Otway, especially with Wild Willy Barratt on his Les Dawson geetar.

What I am listening to right now is the sound of frustration - due to harsh restrictions on when we engineers can take a holiday, the one week I can get in August and can I find a holiday cottage for 10 in Cornwall 🙁 . Don't s'pose anyone's got one for a week from the 2nd? Nah, thought not. Bum

The CD is from 2003 or 2004. Big Jays playing is more in the lines of "Live and Rare" LP (Earth Angel). In other words a toned down Big Jay. Big Jay is still active and he is unique!! A true saxrocker!!

Seems to be the same all over. Big Jay, Eddie Shaw, Sam Butera .... there aren't so many Rocksax players that still are performing? In Sweden bands with saxplayers are pretty rare. Most Blues- and R&B- bands are 3-5 peace bands. Is it the same in UK?

What is you choice this moment in time?

DVD of Rammstein live at Nimes in 2005

No, it is not jazz, has no saxophones is not sung in English. I play the sax, but I also love heavy metal.

I suppose I shall be ostracised now as heretic!

Moz

PS I have just put ostracised into Google to check the spelling and one of the results came up as:

TotallyJewish.com | News | National

I didn't know that THAT operation could be spelt like that!! 😛

Can't say I'm generally a metal fan but Rammstein are great, a real distilation of the most fun aspects of metal...

Well, the last track on my MySpace profile was AC / DC "You Shook Me All Night Long". It's been there for a good long while, but over the weekend it got ousted by, erm Mindi Abair of all people!

I don't care for most of her stuff but "Lucy's" is very nice indeed! http://www.myspace.com/metroholografix
