Hi All
I love jazz music but most of my heros are dead and most of the jazz played live down here in the west country tends to be trad or similar.
I mainly listen to John Coltrane(aka God), Monk, Kirk, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins and similar but I want to broaden my horizons and listen to some newer stuff.
I know about the likes of Courtney pine and Andy Sheppard and I really like Jan Garbarek and John Surman but there must be thousands of fantastic young sax players out there that I have never heard of.
So what I am looking for is mainly British, sax based modern jazz that I may be able to actually see live once in a while.
Bring it on
