11yrs? Apart from reinforcing that I've had a misspent youth, well done Sam.Here he is at age 11
Ironically, none of them are old enough to buy that song!Sam's Dad butting in again…. He's now in a band - "Watermelon Snare". Three 14 year olds, plus Sam who's recently turned 13. (Their bizarre name came about when someone described the snare drum in their school's music room as being "so weedy that you'd get more punch from hitting a watermelon with a donkey's dong". Or something). They played our little Witshire town's annual Food Festival a couple of weeks ago, and have been bathing in local celebrity status ever since. Here's a clip of Sam and the band, looking impossibly cool.

Excellent, good to see his progress. Square Watermelons are a thing in Japan. They just use a different method from the dong method:"Watermelon Snare".
