And did a tenor take today; tried to lock in to the chords a little more, and spent a bit of time running some patterns over different bits like the descending minor ii-Vs at the end. Didn't quite make them into the solo properly, but there we go.

When I clicked this, it started with a toilet flushing.... making me wonder where on earth it was going; then realised it was an advert. Ahem.

Like the vibes in the backing, and the general vibe of the track; especially the breathiness of your tone. Just a bit of intonation issue at the bottom end at about 1:09 ish. But thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Again, thank you. Was deliberately trying to really focus on the changes for this one; had some criticism from the alto take that there was a lot that didn't make harmonic sense, so that's probably where some of the laid back feel comes from - just going that bit easier and really trying to make every note count! Still a few clams in there mind.

Our big band played in the local pub last night and it was the expected rowdy affair. I managed to record the second set with my Zoom digital recorder which did a fair job although I had set levels a bit too high and the device was perhaps too close.

Anyway you can get a flavour of our performance of this arrangement by Jack Cooper, driven along by our great drummer, Robin.

And not too fast! - our big band conductor always sets very fast tempos when we play gigs!

We have a gig in Bristol this evening - no Winter Wonderland, but we will be doing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Jingle Bells". It's the band's 10th anniversary.
