Often the problems with low notes playing high are down to an over tight embouchure. Nigel's also right and getting the right sound in your head does a lot to get your body right, from Lunga, throat, tongue, lips. Another factor can be a leak higher up the sax.

Had a little play...I can run down to Bb 'most' of the time now. I can get C 'out' most times. Bb is still a struggle to get to come out without running down to it. I'll have a look for leaks, but I'd guess it was my technique for now.

It is the last day of Dec 2016 and tomorrow ushers in a new year and a new SOTM. The host is getting ready and I have no idea what is coming.
Thank you to all the contributors. I hope you all enjoyed the song.
I would find it interesting to know how many people had a go at learning it and did not post a recording of it. but I cannot find out how to put a poll in here. I wonder if someone could tell me how to do it.
