It's really hard to make nice sounding music when you are concentrating so hard on which notes to play 🙂
Notes are there, you just have to float on them.

Surely Lust is a German word?Vertical Teutonic structures vs horizontal Italian lust.

Just about impossible, I'd say. Which is why you need to learn the notes well enough that you don't have to think about them any more. At least, I think that's how it goes. It's been a slow process for me. I really hope it works! It's really hard to make nice sounding music when you are concentrating so hard on which notes to play 🙂
If you use Android, Music Theory Helper from Okram has a chord builder part so you can check which notes make up a chord as well as aid memoirs regarding other theory. I find it quite useful.

Including arpeggios in your practice regime is very helpful.
Start with C
CEGB(Cmaj7) DFAC(Dm7) EGBD(Em7) FACE(Fmaj7) GBDF(G7) ACEG(Am7) BDFA(Bm7b5 sometimes called Half diminished)
Play this exercise till you get 3 times without mistake and move onto next key. I add a sharp. So C, then G,then D, then A, then E, then B, then asprin. Then go the other way by adding a flat. C, then F, then Bb, then Eb, then Ab, etc.
I can't emphasise enough how helpful this exercise is in connecting ears, head and fingers. I was given it years ago and Pete includes it in Taming the saxophone.
Get C under your fingers and you'll start to hear the changes and sound shapes.
It's all very simple.
Chords are built from major(larger) and minor(smaller) intervals.
Four semi tones is major. Three semitones is minor.
A major chord, is a major interval with a minor interval on top
A minor chord is minor with major on top
A minor with a minor on top is diminished.
Major major is augmented.
Look at them on the keyboard.

Guys you really are making more out of this than you need.🙂
Chris..
