For me a poor teacher is a poor teacher and is money not well spent so I would rather pay more for better.
We think nothing (well not literally) of spending hundreds for a new sax or mouthpiece or tutor book etc but seem to balk at tutor rates which I find difficult to understand. Not being critical but just have trouble with that thought model but each to their own view.
