Hi everyone,

I'm after some advice- I need to buy my daughter her own Sax - currently she is using mine to learn on but keeps leaving it at school, wants to use it at the same time, doesn't clean it etc etc, which is severely irritating... So I have been looking at evil bay with the intention of purchasing something from there - I do not want to spend any more than £200 second hand, as i'm not sure she will keep itup and it is likely to get bashed a bit as she carries it to & from school.

I have been looking at the following makes
Jupiter
Arbiter
Earlham
Selmer prelude

What do you think - or do you have any more suggestions?

I know that Yamahas have good resale value but they always go for more money & I would get a new Bauhaus if I was able to spend that much.

Thankyou

hi emma....i purchased a second hand gear 4 music alto from ebay...it was only 3 months old and i paid in the region of £75 for it....i believe they are about £175 brand new...it plays really well, has no leaks etc and the quality seems amazing for the cost (even new), they`re not up to the standard of the walstiens but might be the next best thing considering the price.

edit...seems they are £195 now
