I saw this guy playing with Dr. John (The Night Tripper) at last years Rythmn Festival at Bedford, and was blown away by his stuff. This link gives some info on him - the photo was taken a good few years ago though. That, or he's got a good stage disguise......

Anyone else aware of him?

Just did a search on SOTW, and he's clsoe to God-like status in the USA!

Spontaneous bit of retail therapy on Amazon and I'll have a couple of his albums by the end of the week.

He did an album with Horace Silver, about 5 years ago. Its called 'The Hardbop Grandpop'. Its like a Messengers set up and Ronnie Cuber plays fantastically. Brecker is the tenor player and Ronnie Cuber holds his own with ease.
