I have just yesterday bought this book and the play along disc#3 which covers the pop fusion tunes.

The CD skips so it will be going back but typically it does it on the one track that made me buy the thing in the first place...
Make me a memory (sad samba).

So I get lost...
For the time being
Does anyone have it? can you tell me what order you play this in?
Is it ...
section A repeat
Section B repeat
Solo
Del sig?

I'm OK after del sig because the CD doesn't skip.

Hi SL

You have the book... but you're not sure the order of the music?
The form is Intro - AABB then for soloing you go AAAABB, then you DS back to bar 9 to play the head one last time then there's a vamp on B and fade.

But then, if you've got the book you'd see this on pg 202...

Thanks Simon,

Yes I have the book.
Its just I can't see that the disc follows that exactly...its faulty and skips. It only appears to miss a few beats and the order doesn't then follow that written in the book.
I guess it must be that the disc skips more than it appears!
That's wierd though mine is on page 178....(Bb version)

No I didn't buy it from Jazzwise.
I was in the shop I bought from.
I haven't used you yet because until I became a member of this forum I had never come across jazzwise.
I do have a few birthday and Christmas (sorry to mention it so early) presents lined up though 😉

I think Raschers toptones is first on the list.

Off topic slightly.
Here is a an observation...
A hefty enough chunk of my money for a run of the mill purchase me thinks. In pounds ....not far short of 100.

I asked nicely :S
A fiver off would have been a very nice gesture after 1.75 hrs of travelling to reach this establishment!
But..not a sausage! 🙁

I put 2 CD's back >:)
Its not a complaint...(I'm not tight, I could have bought on line in the first place)
Just an observation that is likely to affect my judgement of shopping in future! And it was a nice day at a toy store !!!!

BTW...The evo lig, impressive versatility! easy no messing around fitting and at least two lig sounds for the price of one.

Yep, I agree SL. I would have looked closely at the price of the lig first (and I'll take a guess and say you headed to Crowbridge to get it ?)

CD imports into the UK are VATable - 17.5% slapped on by Tony / Gordon straight off. If they arrive in a book (like the Aebersolds) then they don't get VATed. Hence CDs here are expensive and the reason why no-one here would sell replacement Aebersold CDs for example.

Of course you can buy online, save yourself a trip. But you've gotta know what you want - this is where Jazzwise advice comes in! 🙂 Other guys on this forum have ordered stuff through me... and I appreciate the business and offer deals accordingly!

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
