Has any one tryed the R1 Jazz tenor & r1 jazz soprano. These are the only sax i have'nt had the chance to blow yet, they look like a great hand made horn, any one blew one and what do they think.Tone, response, erg's etc. 😉

Really great saxes- feel very much like a vintage horn- A very, big, lush, dark tone, extremely freeblowing and slightly clunky ergonomics (nothing thats really hindering but they are heavier than something like a Yamaha). Imagine how you'd really like your dream vintage soprano to feel and pretty much sums them up- slightly quirky but really playable)

That's my dream soprano,a curved RI JAZZ silverplate sop, wish i had 2 grand in my hip pocket,i think it's the best looking cuved sop there is and hope one day i will have one.I saw the grassi sop's in ya sax.co and they look nice.I realy think i better start saving for the R&C Curved sop,i realy, realy, realy want one.The yani curved are lush i know but the r&c has it's own thing going on and it look's hand made.I hope i am down south soon and i can drop in the shop and try one. Please be good to me god,i deserve a rampone sop,oh yes i do.

I've got a semi-curved R&C soprano (saxello) in gold plate. It looks lovely, ergonomics are fine and the intonation is very good.

For me the tone is a bit "soft" with a range of different mouthpieces - not as much punch and clarity as my Yani SC991. The action is also a bit soft and not as crisp and fast as the Yani.

When I play the curvie R&C against the SC991 a while ago I preferred the R&C so it is a fine horn in my opinion.

Some horn,s just look more sexy than other's and the rampone's just look so much more sexy. When i had my pearl silver Borgani tenor it was the same, truly hand made horn's look and feel like nothing else. One day i will own the r&c silver curve so got to wait and my time will come.I cant wait to try one and i think i will love it.

As you,Pete have tried the R&C'S is there much in it from the R1 to the R1 JAZZ horn's,i have read all the site's info and know about the yellow brass and the red brass they use but would you buy the R1 or the R1 jazz alto and what's ya thought's please. :w00t:
