Anyone remember your first experience cooking bacon crispy while still in the frying pan !

Ah, I see. I actually do something different; I just number 'em, 1,2 3,4, etc. then I have the paper with sizes for each key cup - this way I don't get wrapped around the axle of "what's the NAME of that key?" Of course, normally it's extremely clear which pad fits which cup, but sometimes there are a couple that are close. But I do like the idea of just writing the actual pad dimension you ordered, in the cup for which you ordered it. Next time I may just do that, and eliminate the piece of paper. (I do pad replacements infrequently, like maybe every couple of years, and a complete re-pad maybe every 10 years, so I don't have a pad inventory.)
I know what the name of every part is. So should every player. The reason for post #1,169- 1,171.
Parents spend 8 years on lessons and the player can’t name more than five parts. Neck, body, mouthpiece and case.
I had a second year college student majoring in music on sax. He sent me a picture with G# key circled. “My professor stuck a lightbulb in and says this thingy has a ? Leak??”. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I record the sizes for the customer and my personal data. If I don’t have in stock I know what to order.
It’s not the easiest to measure an assembled horn should one be damaged during its lifetime.
B @ 33-34, the cup needed additional rounding for best fit.

The key position marking was for my backup picture. Not all the flat springs are the same. Whatever this photo record shows is the way they came off.
