We went to see King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys (http://www.bigbearmusic.com/kingp/home.html) on Saturday and, once again, they were extremely entertaining and the venue was small and intimate so a great atmosphere too.

Their regular tenor player was on holiday so they had a guest - Paul Corry (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=196220212). He was fantastic - have a listen on his myspace. He played one real down and dirty blues number which just blew me away. I really enjoyed his playing.

this guy's great, maximum honkage! The hip hop blues tracks on the myspace are pretty tasty too, especially gladrags... that blues/hip hop crossover is something one of my old bands did a lot and it can work really well...
