Overcoming overthinking

Looking for thoughts/help/advice/discussion on the following.
For the past couple months I have been making my way through the Aebersold maiden voyage book with teacher.
So far Summertime, Solar Flair and Watermelon man have all been covered and the tunes learned to heart (almost). A few other simple songs have also been covered - C jam blues, sonnymoon for two, mo betta blues.
So plenty of improvising has been encouraged and has been the main focus for a while which I am fairly surprised at as I have only had the thing just over 4 months, during which I have been operated on and had sum pretty intense final final exams!

So heres my dilemma, after getting over the initial shock when my teacher suggested I was ready for some improvising and learning some pentatonic/blues scales I was pretty impressed with the sounds I was making! Although teacher had been giving me pointers and alays says the number of notes arent too important, its all about rythm and rythmical variation rather than cramming in every possible note!
One lesson which sticks in my mind was when we were doing sonny moon for two. I remember the solo being well constructed, changed rythmicaly at the right times and although possibly more due to luck it just all came together!
Now in some ways although Im possibly getting a bit better, I feel Im overthinking when attempting to improvise, resulting in a whole load of noodles, with everything and nothing happening at the same time! When just a month or two ago I just "played".

Can anyone recommend something to listen to with fairly simple solos for some ideas? It dont think it helps that I like a lot of manic coltrane and ornette coleman! Im happy with all that stuff being out of my league at the moment but surely there's some stuff closer to home that give me a few ideas for now?

Dose anyone have any ideas what to do to shut ur brain up?! would thinking of something/someone/somewhere help?!

Its reminding me of when I learned to drive, Felt things were going really good until I hit ~my 6th lesson and couldnt do anything but stall the car! overthinking is what I was told was causing that too!

Cheers!
