Aw, thanks.
Basically, it's called Second Wind and has been running in Leicester for about six weeks now. All players are pretty much beginners or have returned after not playing for some time. We meet on Wednesday nights at the Richard Attenborough Centre for Disability and the Arts, and it's great fun. At the moment it's having to run as a class and we're having to pay the appropriate fees, but we're hoping that if it takes off (which it's looking like doing), then we can become an affiliated group or something and it will be cheaper.
I guess my own standard is quite high compared to some there, but the boss says that's OK because I can slot in on whatever part is needed at a moment's notice. For me, it's fun without being too taxing and in some ways, it's good to go back to basics now and then.
If anyone's interested (any wind or brass, and we could use a bass guitarist who can read music), then they can enquire at the centre or at Sheehans Music.
Ta again, Pete.
