Turned 71 last month and have been reducing the number of ensembles I'm actively a part of. My wife has told me she will retire from music performance when she turns 80, so I think I will too... if not sooner.
So many of my friends and fellow performers are passing away. My fav place to play is with my Pacifica Big Band. My second favorite place was my Professor Gadget Sax Quartet.
Here is a sample of that a couple of years ago when we played for my mom at a senior home, before she passed away. She was my greatest follower and the most expensive thing my parents ever bought me was my first saxophone when I was in fifth grade.
